The News Tab was created out of my love for the Microsoft News Tab extension. I loved being able to see all the latest news every time I opened a tab it was quick and easy. However it started recommending news articles which were not relevant to me and were actually quite strange. Then came the adverts, around 1/3 of the page became adverts – they were the click bait ones too. Some of the adverts were embarrassing like the weight loss ones, this was less than ideal when I was screen sharing to customers. This is why The News Tab was created, to allow me to add the RSS feeds that I wanted to see.
